Fit For Life - A Healthy Approach To Senior Fitness

Fit for Life at Layfield and Associates Physical Therapy (LAPT) is a unique program designed
for senior fitness. Endurance, flexibility, strength, and most importantly balance, are emphasized
through innovative and entertaining activities.

According to the National Aging Council, 25-35% of adults over the age of 65, and nearly 50%
over the age of 80, will fall at least once this year, many times due to weak muscles, limited
flexibility, and poor balance. Studies show that strength training and balance activities reduce
the risk of falls and fall-related injuries.

Our classes at LAPT are designed to accommodate seniors of all activity levels. Fit for Life I
is designed for independent seniors with a higher level of fitness. Fit for Life II is appropriate
for seniors who are most comfortable with seated exercises and require some assistance with
mobility.
